Windows Dial-Up Networking Guide


This page is designed to give you information and troubleshooting tips on the Windows 95/98 Dial-up Networking (DUN), which is what you use to connect to NCKCN. You can set modem parameters, TCP/IP settings, and authentication parameters to name a few, simply by right-clicking the DUN connection you wish to view/edit. Follow these simple tips to set the way your modem works with DUN.

Depending on your version of Windows 95, or Windows 98, the General tab allows you to set the local access phone number for your connection, select which modem you want to use for this connection, as well as view/edit the configuration of that modem.

To set the modem configuration, select the Configure button as shown.
